"America's Best Church Choir" to celebrate with holiday concert

A milestone was made in Tarboro, NC History whereby the Salvation and Deliverance Church Choir was awarded the grand prize at Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound™ finale and was named “America’s Best Church Choir.” Last year, our local community hosted the celebration “How Sweet the Tidings” to rejoice in this momentous victory.

This year, our community has expressed tremendous support for the return of How Sweet the Tidings to publicly celebrate the choir for this colossal achievement. Therefore, on Saturday, December 8, 2012, the Salvation and Deliverance Church Choir will be sponsoring the Christmas Production, "How Sweet the Tidings II." This event will be held at the magnificent Keihin Auditorium on the campus of Edgecombe Community College in Tarboro, NC at 6:00pm. Our Special Musical Guest will be vocal powerhouse and Grammy-Award winning Artists Kelly Price as well as the Salvation and Deliverance Church Choir. Advance tickets are $20.00 and $25 at the door.

This year has become a milestone in Tarboro, NC History. On October 28, 2011, the

Salvation and Deliverance Church Choir of Tarboro, N.C. was awarded the grand prize at Verizon’s How Sweet the Sound™ finale and was named “America’s Best Church Choir.” During the finale, held on October 28th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, the choir walked away with a cash prize of $25,000 and the opportunity to perform at the Stellar Awards and the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration in 2012. The Tarboro, N.C. community has expressed tremendous support and has requested a chance to publically congratulate the choir for this colossal achievement. Therefore, on Friday, December 9, 2011, the Salvation & Deliverance Church Choir will be sponsoring the Christmas Production, “How Sweet the Tidings.” This event will be held at the Keihin Auditorium on the campus of Edgecombe Community College in Tarboro, NC at 7:00pm.
